Abraham Simon In 1886, he came from Brest, Belarus, alone, as a laborer. A year later, he was able to bring over his wife and two daughters. By the census of 1900, he was a peddler. In 1907, his second oldest daughter, Esther, married Morris Rubenstein. The 1909 City Directory listed his occupation as "juice," which we knew to be sacramental wine. Passenger List, S. S.
