Elliott's older sister, Ruth, with her husband of three years, Bill Eckstein.

The early 1950's saw three family marriages in rapid succession:  Ruth and Bill Eckstein married a month after Ruth and Elliott's first cousin, Shirley Gelman, wed Herman Hausman. 

Three years later, Ruth's brother,
Elliott, married Barbara Wernick.
