The joy of fatherhood is what you see in my snapshot of nephews Todd and Toby in their Dad's embrace.

Steadied by Mom's mother on the left and Dad's mother on the right in the attempt to take a step two days before my first birthday, I look like a would-be Cab Calloway doing his famous hi-dee-hi, hi-dee-ho dance. 

In an early display of his curious nature, my brother was inspecting the sky when our Dad snapped this photo. We had recently moved to Denver, and were on a day trip to visit the cliff dwellings in Manitou Springs, Colo. 

This photo could be a textbook illustration on the body language of courting.  It was taken about three months before my parents married.
